My first year on the postgraduate programme of The Prince’s Drawing School is coming to an end, and we are having an open studio showing of our work at The Tea Building in Shoreditch, and an End of Year Exhibition on Charlotte Road.
Invite design by me, went through a whole host of ideas before settling on a simple fusion of pencil and the Tea Building.
Inspired by the bold graphics used in old fruit wrappers – the V&A Prints and Drawings Room have an amazing collection, here are a few illustrations celebrating the healthy wonders of nature’s food, say goodbye to vitamin supplements!
An illustration of summer experiences in NY – sweaty, sticky heat, short shorts and ogling men, iced drinks, outdoor movies and rooftop bbqs – what more could you want? Below is one of the initial sketches, and my first attempt at a final image, though I didn’t like the overloaded detail and went back to a simpler, cleaner process, as above.

Night buses are great. Everyone’s so much more chatty and even though its often not much more than drunken ramblings, it would be great if we could inject a bit more of that sociability into our daytime commutes.
